We are looking for a New Business Director with proven experience creating opportunities, leading new business responses, and converting potential into new clients. The role is a new one within the London studio, and requires a proactive, confident and strategic individual with a passion for creativity, a knowledge of the agency and client landscape, and a hunger to deliver results and win! You will help focus and develop our New Business strategy, approach and process internally, as well as collaborating with the Senior Team to run new business opportunities with clients and within Publicis Groupe. You will report into the Managing Director, work closely with the Senior Leadership Team (Head of Strategy and ECD) as well as the Client Services Director, and the Global Leadership team (CEO and CCO). You will also work with the Marketing Manager to build on marketing to increase new business opportunities. This would be a great opportunity for someone who is ambitious to grow a New Business offer, and build a team over time, or who has moved into Business Development from a Client Services role.
Has a proven track record of creating new business opportunities for Agencies, and converting them into successful client relationships
Is confident and experienced in developing a New Business strategy that fits our brand, in partnership with the Leadership team, and then working with the different teams within Turner Duckworth to deliver on it
Understands the new business landscape, has a finger on the pulse of what our competitors are doing, and what it can mean for us
Understands how to navigate different scenarios and best practice in the market, including the appropriate responses for different RFPs and Pitches, and is happy to communicate with Client procurement and intermediaries around new business opportunities
Has a POV on opportunities to pursue and when not to, always assessing the strategic and creative (as well as financial) benefits for Turner Duckworth
Confidently writes and delivers compelling, appropriate and strategic new business responses (in partnership with SLT)
Has a strong network of previous clients and contacts to refer to to build opportunities
Manages the relationship between intermediaries and consultants ensuring they have all the latest information about Turner Duckworth.
Will confidently navigate Publicis Groupe New Business community, building relationships, identifying potential client opportunities, and working with other Agencies on Power of One projects, raising Turner Duckworth’s profile within Publicis Groupe
Has fantastic attention to detail both with clients and internally, can keep a plan on track, and works well with other members of the team (operations, creative, strategy) to deliver against tight timings, new business deadlines and the changing requirements of New Business situations
Regularly updates the SLT and Global SLT with reporting on new business progress
Builds the Turner Duckworth New Business pipeline (hot, warm and cold) using tools including Salesforce and Winmo
Is happy to network, attend events and represent Turner Duckworth in a variety of different scenarios to build our profile
Partners with the Marketing Manager to utilise the power of marketing and social media to create opportunities and get our new business message out there.
Has impeccable client presentation and communication skills, being able to build relationships with clients at the most senior level, and throughout the team in the new business process
Is trusted by the Turner Duckworth team to show great judgement, work to our best interests and inspire the team with the opportunities that new business can bring
Is willing to remain on hand with new clients to help bed them in, working in partnership with the CSD to ensure new clients have a great experience of Turner Duckworth.
