What did you find the most interesting working in SF?

As much as I love London, San Francisco was a nice change of pace. It was great being able to walk just a few blocks to work, and everyone I met was super friendly and welcoming, both at work and outside of it.

What was the best food you ate while in San Francisco?

San Francisco has amazing food! I’d definitely recommend grabbing some Mexican food in the Mission or Chinese food in Chinatown. One of the best meals I had was actually at a Burmese restaurant on one of my last nights there.

What did you see that inspired you the most on your trip?

I'm really into photography, so I loved wandering around the city with my camera after work. Exploring different neighborhoods and capturing the unique architecture as the sun set was such a cool experience.

What was the weirdest phrase/slang you heard and didn’t understand?

It's not exactly slang, but I tried some spicy candy, and I still can't figure out what the deal is with that. It was just awful!

What’s the number one tip you’d give someone visiting San Francisco for the first time?

Get some training in before you arrive—the hills will make you wonder why anyone decided to build a city there! Aside from that, just dive right in; it's a fantastic city with so much to offer and explore.

What did you find the most interesting working in London?

I had an amazing time meeting so many new people. Everyone was super welcoming, which made work a lot of fun. The office is in a really lively part of London, with tons of great pubs and fantastic restaurants to check out.

What was the best food you ate while in London?

I enjoyed so many amazing meals, but my favorite was the Sunday roast at the Grumpy Mole in the Surrey countryside. Close seconds were dinner at the Sky Garden and, of course, a classic sausage roll from Greggs.

What did you see that inspired you the most on your trip?

London has some of the most incredible museums in the world. I loved exploring the British Museum, the Tate Modern, and the Natural History Museum. Riding the tube to and from work was a great source of inspiration, with the street performers and variety of languages and accents I encountered along the way.

What was the weirdest phrase/slang you heard and didn’t understand?

The term "knackered" really threw me off. For half of my trip, I thought people were saying they were "naked"! Despite the mix-up, it gave me a good laugh every morning.

What’s the number one tip you’d give someone visiting London for the first time?

Be sure to bring comfortable walking shoes because London is a sprawling city best explored on foot. I stumbled upon so many fantastic restaurants and pubs just by wandering through different neighborhoods!
